Frequently asked questions

Kaliwa Lodge is around 30 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 20 km from Moshi. We can arrange a private airport transfer for up to four guests with luggage for USD 60 one way.
Kaliwa Lodge is just a 10-minute drive from the Machame Gate and is ideally located for the beginning or end of a Kilimanjaro trek. Our team will be happy to assist you with planning and arranging your trek.
Breakfast is included. We have a Restaurant in kaliwa and can provide all meals.
Cancellations or changes to a booking must be sent to Kaliwa Lodge in writing or by email.

Once a booking has been confirmed, the following cancellation fees apply:

30 days: 25% of the total booking amount

4–14 days: 75%

3 days or less: 100%

No refunds are available for late arrival, early departure or no-show.
Yes. Several rooms and bungalows offer additional beds, and Bungalows A and B can be connected for larger families.
Kaliwa Lodge is located at an altitude of 1,300 metres in the rainforest on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, overlooking the Weru Weru River Valley. It is 20 km from Moshi and just 10 minutes from the Machame Gate.
Kilimanjaro International Airport is approximately 30 km from Kaliwa Lodge. The drive takes around 45 minutes.
Yes. We can arrange private and guided safaris to selected national parks in northern Tanzania. Please contact us for available itineraries and prices.
