Standard Rooms at Kaliwa Lodge

Our Standard Kaliwa Rooms are located close to the reception and main lodge area, placing you right in the warm, social heart of Kaliwa. In the evenings you may hear the happy conversations drifting from the bar after dinner — a lovely reminder of the shared spirit of adventure among guests preparing for Kilimanjaro climbs or heading out on safari.

The rooms are built in a traditional open-panel window style that lets in fresh mountain air and natural light. They are smaller and practical, perfect for a comfortable short stay before or after a climb, or as a cosy stop on your safari journey.

Our ten cosy rooms are set in a verdant, flowering garden, with wonderful views at sunset up towards Kilimanjaro's cloud-ringed summit.

The rooms themselves are constructed in the Bauhaus style, with their minimalist design providing a striking contrast to the abundance of the surrounding nature while offering European standards of comfort. Among the amenities on offer are floor-to-ceiling windows, eucalyptus wood furnishings, and free Wifi access.

Number 8 was the first bungalow we built, and it holds a special charm. With windows on both sides, it feels as though you're living right in the garden, surrounded by lemon trees and passion fruit, just outside, adding to the sense of calm and connection to nature.

Among the amenities you’ll find Inaya bathroom products from Zanzibar, infused with the refreshing scent of lemongrass, as well as soft towels and fresh linen for your comfort. We also provide filtered drinking water in every room, so you can stay hydrated and relaxed throughout your stay.
